Clinical Alternatives is a professional corporation, founded in 1994. The agency is a for-profit, privately–held business. We are an Outpatient Mental Health Facility offering a continuum of services to the Central Virginia area. Clinical Alternatives was established to address the needs of families and persons in crisis. Specifically to reduce out-of-home placements and promote smooth transitions home by providing counseling, case management, and support services to families, in their own homes. Clinical Alternatives has a proven track record of offering over fifteen years of quality services. Initially, the office was located in the owner’s home. As the agency grew, office space was rented, and in 2005, the agency purchased a condominium unit at Glenside Commons in Henrico County. Clinical Alternatives initially offered two programs: intensive in-home and mentoring services. As the agency stabilized, the Adolescent Sex Offender Program was developed and implemented. Over the years, in response to the needs of families and the community, a number of programs have been developed.
The agency is dedicated to the development and implementation of specialized cost-effective alternative treatments and other support services for children, adolescents, and adults. The agency specializes in the identification of community needs, then creatively locates and organizes solutions to meet these needs.
